Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray to god my soul to keep. By dark of night my dreams do fly and listen to the songs of time. Though by my will or god's alone, I lay awake to droning tones. The TV buzz of battle times, Of war, and famine, and people die. Every hour a person born, A future unknown but battle worn. Mother's prayers and father's pride, To sing a song of futile lies. My weeping tears do not atone, for wicked crimes by man alone. Ties to battle shall  forever remain, and peace shall not be obtained. Now if I die before I wake. I know not where, which road I take. I pray for hope and sweet release, from this wick
